Carly is a Varsity Athletic Therapist at McMaster University.
Prior to making her move back to McMaster, Carly spent seven years working with the Hamilton Tiger- Cats Football Club of the CFL. For five years (2011-2016), Carly served as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Ticats, where she was responsible for all aspects of the team's sport medicine needs, including emergency care, acute injury management, injury rehabilitation, exercise prescription, insurance billing execution and coordination, management of annual medical budget and inventory of supplies. Additionally, she was the liaison between General Manager, coaches, team physicians, allied health care practitioners, equipment and strength and conditioning staff. In Carly's five years as Head Therapist with the Tiger-Cats, she helped the team reach the Grey Cup on two occasions, in 2014 and 2015.
Carly received her Honours Bachelor Kinesiology degree in 2007 and more recently completed her Masters in Rehabilitation Sciences. As an undergraduate, Carly was an active member of the Sport Medicine program and served as the Student Field Therapist with the Marauders Baseball, Volleyball and Wrestling teams. Upon graduation, she worked in the David Braley Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic where her responsibilities included the creation and implementation of hydrotherapy programs, custom and OTS brace fitting, and the co-ordinating of Student Therapists. Carly then went on to Sheridan College where she completed a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences degree in Athletic Therapy. Carly graduated at the top of her class and was the recipient of both the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2nd year) and Toronto Blue Jay (3rd year) scholarships.
