Athletic Therapy Ontario has removed its Find an AT search function in compliance with industry guidelines for fraud prevention and the protection of registered practitioner professional profile details. Cybersecurity is a priority for all organizations, but particularly in the health care sector.
To prevent fraud, organizations engage in risk management, which includes the process of identifying, assessing, and controlling potential risks or uncertainties that could result in fraudulent misuse of practitioner data.
You can always search for health care professionals with the benefit of an established search engine using city, province, and professional title. Athletic Therapists (AT) are currently unregulated health care professionals, but many EHB insurers do cover AT treatment services. This Association is fully alert to and compliant with health insurance fraud concerns.
